In short

PATCH /api/v1/sites/{siteId}/layout updates draft header primary-button and footer link groups in site settings — the same slots the dashboard layout editor writes. Requires sites:write. Publish site settings in the dashboard to go live.

Required scope: sites:write Omitted fields are left unchanged. Changed labels enter the chrome string catalog so you can translate them with Chrome strings.

Response

200 OK with layout_id, resolved header / footer slots, and published: false. MCP equivalent: aveiro_update_site_layout.
